Margaret & Simon’s Spring Wedding
I knew I was going to enjoy this day after having caught up with Margaret & Simon a few weeks before to shoot their pre-wedding session. Margaret & Simon’s day was utterly gorgeous – a lovely couple – clearly made for each other, surrounded by their families and friends some of whom they had not seen in years, a beautiful dress by Alan Hannah, pretty bridesmaids in yellow dresses and spring inspired flowers.
It’s not usual for me to get a little emotional during a ceremony and this was no exception, Margaret’s mothers singing brought tears to my eyes.
The venue, Balbirnie House was such a pleasure to work at, the staff are very friendly and attentive and made the whole day run like clockwork. I look forward to shooting here again in May.
A few weeks prior to the wedding Margaret & Simon headed down to Coburg Studios in Leith to make their own wedding rings. I had heard of this before but didn’t really know too much about it. You are assisted by jewellers Donna Barry & Hannah Louise Lamb in their professional jewellery workshop as they guide you through step by step to help create your very own one-off, unique wedding rings. Click here to see Margaret & Simon in action. On another note if you haven’t yet been to Coburg Studios I highly recommend popping down on one of their open days to see what wonderful artistry goes on.
Margaret & Simon are delighted to share with me the list of amazing suppliers that made this possible…
