Angela & Matt

I’ve a number of lovely weddings to post from last year but I’m going to start with one of my favourites – Angela & Matt’s day at Gean House. Their wedding was perfect and a pleasure to capture – the scenic Ochil Hills overlooking Gean House, a fabulous sunny autumn day, gorgeous bride, close friends and family and of course the beautiful Isabella!

Congratulations and best wishes to Mr & Mrs MacDonald! x

Hazel & Alex

Hazel and Alex got married on a perfect summer day at George Heriots Chapel, Hazel went to school here so it was a natural choice for this to be her wedding venue. I first met Hazel two and half years ago at Dundas Castle whilst she was working as the make-up artist at Emma & Steven’s wedding so I was delighted when I was recommended to be her photographer. Having worked in the wedding industry, Hazel had clear ideas how she wanted her day to be – fun and colourful, drawing inspirations from her favourite films, The Labyrinth and Disney’s Frozen. The Chapel was decorated with pink and orange balloons, the colour co-ordinating flowers were from the amazing Planet Flowers, Hazel wore a dress all the way from the States finished off by a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choos!

Leanne & Alex

When Leanne and Alex first came to me to discuss their wedding photography was I pretty excited. They were to be married at Crail Church, Crail is one of my most favourite places having holidayed here since I was a baby. It’s a little picturesque, historic town on the East Neuk of Fife with the probably the most photographed (and painted) harbours (and an amazing butcher which is worth a visit!) Leanne and Alex had wanted to stop at the harbour and then on to West Sands in St Andrews for photographs before reaching Craigsanqhuar House Hotel for their reception. My prayers for good weather came true and we managed to capture some lovely shots in the summer sunshine!

Jenny and Alan

It’s always a challenge to be both a guest and the photographer at a wedding as being the photographer always comes first. I’ve known Jenny for a few years now and was honoured to be her wedding photographer and equally delighted especially knowing this wedding was going to be based on family and friends and just having a really good time. Jenny is Greek and Alan is Glaswegian, so they opted for an intimate Greek wedding at St Andrews Orthodox Church followed by Hotel Du Vin for some fabulous food and drink, Greek music with impromptu dancing, diy flowers and cakes finished with a speech by the lovely Helena!

Gwen & Andrew

It’s been a really busy summer for me, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing some lovely weddings. But I’m going to start back in April with Gwen and Andrew’s day at The Caves. The day started at The Raddison Blu Hotel on the Royal Mile with bridal preparations followed by the ceremony and reception at Edinburgh’s most atmospheric wedding venue, The Caves. The day was perfect, the sun was shining and we managed to get out and about to some of Edinburgh’s scenic spots for photographs.

Congratulations again to Gwen and Andrew x
